How is everyone holding up?
Haven't been on this forum in a while but it looks very different now. I hope all of you are doing alright despite the global pandemic. Keep your head up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Couldn’t agree more. Most of the worlds’ populace’s seem quite happy to drift in to dystopia. ID cards, half arsed flip flops on policy and seemingly endless restraints on civil liberties, testing, ill thought out and totally divergent and dissimilar policies on recognizing vaccines, and vaccine passports. To name but a few.
We’ve had wars that lasted less than this.FFS

Ive lost a good friend. He married to HK Chinese and invested in his HK apartment and are both pro CCP. Im anti and moved out of HK in the 2019 protests. He broke off our friendship because my views made him angry so I dont see how we will reconcile. I also dont know when if ever I will return to HK even for a short visit.

Too hot here on the beach, better put some more suncream on.
Ah… I’m off to the kiosk to get more beer.
Cheers all. The good times will come again, it’s a cycle. isn’t it?

Bases will never re-open. POS18 is a policy document - its all company policy. Civilized countries have employment contracts where both parties have some protection and rights and obligations.
We might see reverse rostering. When the company first floated it, it was complete . Now that we have been forced into POS18, it doesn't look so bad.

Bases were a divide and conquer policy and it will come around again in some form.
“You want reverse roster you’ll have to up your minimum hours to 60 there’s no other way we can do it”
Reverse roster crews are working 59 hours we need HK crews to be equally as productive
Sorry reverse rostering needs to be more productive 80hrs is now the minimum.
