I truly wish I could read and believe the Washington Compost, but sadly I do not. Most of what they write is steeped in political bias. I’m not commenting on the veracity of this article because I’m not educated on the details. However, this dynamic is the byproduct of extreme bias in media. Large swaths of the country and the world simply don’t believe what they write. As they say, “Democracy dies in the darkness.” Indeed it does. The media casts more shade than any politician ever could.

I prefer my 'news' to come from the personal mouthpieces of Rupert Murdoch. I know they are 100% factual, so I trust them implicitly.

No threat! Nothing to see here in Hong Kong. Look at Trump... He’s the real tyrant, just ask the mainstream media or the DNC (one and the same). Group think abounds. Hypocrisy reigns. All of life is irony. Whatever you accuse someone else of is most likely what you are doing yourself. Almost never fails.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz activated the state's national guard troops on Thursday at the request of the mayors of Minneapolis and nearby St Paul, declaring the situation a "peacetime emergency".
He said the looting, vandalism and arson of a night earlier had resulted in damage to many businesses, including ones owned by minorities.

I think this article is pertinent to the state of HK today....and reflects where many foreign based business are headed in the "new" HK. I might direct your attention to the comments about the "HSBC people" (...fiercly tribal and regional in their mindset...!) who sound remarkably like the Swires. It won't end well...for either group.
