Aussie Base slots - ufn

Well it appears the jellyfish is trying to take revenge on those who dont swim to the same tune. Latest news is that "we will not be making any new Australian base slots available until further notice" since they do not have an agreeed deal. Good luck to all you hoping to go home.

Do jelly fish swim?
Seems to me he just drifts on the swire tide. From the day he became a training FO I can’t remember when he’s tried to protect the profession.

No more AU base slots were on the cards anyhow. Who gives a toss! Kudos to the united vote AOAA well done
The base positions are more beneficial to CX than anyone senior enough to be awarded one.

As we fly multi million dollar aircraft, and are used to solving problems by careful analysis, we should easily be able to see this as simply another opportunity the management have to try and generate ill feeling from us HK guys against those on the base.
Good on the AAOA for a near 100% turn out of voters and an almost unanimous rejection of the offer that by all anecdotal accounts unsurprisingly had unsavoury strings attached.

Many crew would like a base, but it seems not to be the green grass nirvana many think.
Remember the Aus guys took the largest pay cut up to 27%, and are still fighting for even COL increases, they pay exorbitant income tax to fund the revolving door of Prime Ministers and incompetent government, and receive none of the other benefits many of us get in hk.

Let's see the "no Aus bases" wedge for what it is.
Generated to induce in-fighting while the smoke and mirrors campaign continues.
