I'm an 80s child, I remember watching CX adverts on tv thinking how amazing it would be to work for them. I get the idea that back in the day, CX hired the cream of the crop in all areas of the business. Now its just a race to them bottom it seems. How can such a brilliant, highly skilled airline be so badly mismanaged? It beggars belief.

You said they must hire only locals then because at least they will be good at shutting up and saying yes sir. That's how CX wants their employee's, DUMBED DOWN.
So they will be good at shutting up and saying yes,sir

I am not exercised by your dumbed down comment but by the fact that you state hiring locals will get people who are good at shutting up and saying yes, sir
and what Oasis said
you cannot be that obtuse

ummm, in general, based on evidence to date, that description is fair. You don’t have to like it, but stop with the hysterical race card.

Ah yes, just look at how much your union has accomplished compared to the mostly ‘local’ flight attandents union and tell me who the pussies are in this 3 way relationship.
