I've joined you....off for a month as well. I suppose these next few weeks will put a stamp on who has character and courage and who doesn't. I won't be quite so hesitant to label people as such afterwards. Career defining moment upon us all. Don't doubt that.

If my better half can land a half decent paying job in our home country, then I am out. This place is toxic and undeserving of my skill set. I have been well compensated in my time here, but the chances of that being the case going forward seem lesser every day.

Anyone that can get away from HK will never regret it. Especially as you move through different stages of life (wife,children,education,retirement...). Staying in HK will assure you of misery and frustration. Leave while the opportunities are available. Don't get trapped here like so many others.
