Stop Posting Here

It has become increasingly clear that a lot of the replies and threads here are being started by management plants in order to discredit us. There is no further need to post here. Look very carefully at the threads. Clearly most of them aren't posted by pilots, most of the posts are completely infantile and self defeating. Talk of burning extra fuel, discussion of jumpseats on an open forum, clearly these would only be posted here to discredit us. Do not reply to obviously planted posts, or even better don't post here at all.

Yammer is now becoming a tool for us. Use it. If you're afraid to post on Yammer you're in the wrong profession.

Very true xfr8, however it will likely fall on deaf ears as this is a convenient place to anonymously vent.
Clearly there are management moles/plants, (apologies to the plants whose IQ is insulted) and whilst they deliberately choose to, along with some of the spikey haired gen Y who don't know any better, regularly portray us as a bunch of ill educated ignoramus by the lack of awareness of the difference between there/their/they're, loose/lose, and too/to but to name a few.

Nobody likes the spelling police, but when these columns are read by those who are destroying our T&C's and increasingly losing their respect for us as professionals, at least try and get the basics correct ffs!

Some of us are domiciled elsewhere.
We have had our own experiences of what is presently being wrought at CX.

It may not mean much, but you certainly aren't alone, many pilots of many sorts of tails have had an orchestrated and dark campaign waged on them also. In the name of efficiency of course.

So your idea is to stop posting on a public forum which can inform and influence public opinion and use a CX in-house private forum instead...

Kitsune,
If you mean inform the public that you’re a collection of abusive, illiterate, childish , scared, malcontents, then yes.

Why are there more comments and posts on PPRUNE and YAMMER than there are on the HKAOA forums?

Because people have given up on the AOA. They have taken a back seat whilst individuals ( non members ) have taken the fight to the company. This isn't a union, it's a disgrace manned by sheepish idiots. Save your money and leave.

There has never been any strength in the AOA because the members are not prepared to do whatever is necessary to give it some teeth .
Now , when the anger is real ,there is no direction from the AOA to take advantage of the situation .
Get some new blood on the committee , or I’m afraid that checklist complete is correct

It’s because anyone who posts on there and holds a viewpoint different from the militant 10% who regularly post on there gets verbally abused and quits the union. There are literally a thousand members who never have and who never will post on the AOA forum.

The joke is that nearly half the membership (48%)voted for the last pay increase and zero of them have ever put their views forward on the AOA forum. One person did, and then resigned. The number who actually voted for the last motion was pathetic. Fools on Pprune think that they have unity in the AOA because they have bullied those that don’t agree with them.

Let’s see how motion 3 of the next vote goes.

MC,
Perhaps from your exalted position you could tell us how many flights have been cancelled due crew shortages or have you not enough browny points to be kept in the loop?
