Off the Track

Dear Blue Eagle, moderator supreme. With respect I would suggest that the one off track is you. Fancy closing a post that was generating so much return. If you had followed the thread of the thread you would have seen clearly where it was going/had been. I have read nowhere that you must stick completely to the topic of the post. Surely, more important is the free and fair trade of infomation and communication. You've got a tough job and could easily have closed other vitriolic posts we just have to disagree on this one. Best regards.

Spot on.

A little off track is not an altitude bust.

Right, didn't even give me a chance to ask KIFIS his considered opinion on the Falun Gong movement.

Just like in CX guys, to argue with "management" appears to get you absolutely nowhere.

OK - I have been through the thread several times since this morning, you would have to agree that, at times, it drifted off into slagging off 411A, as a person, not his view point, we discussed an SQ 707 that departed Kai Tak and returned on three, this then led to a discussion about CX 707 freighters and finally we discussed the significance of the PRC flag and exactly who KIFIS really is and what his connections, if any, to the PRC really are.

BUT, I do agree that you are also covering the issue of Local pilots advancement and that was the core issue of the initial thread by KIFIS. How about we all stick to that?

I am glad that you do appreciate that moderating is not quite as easy as some would think, the vitriolic posts do cause concern but just so long as everyone stays within the bounds of common decency and no one gets to the point of naming names or gross abuse of a fellow PPRuNer then it is a great opportunity for us all to say our piece.

On appeal, I have unlocked the original thread.

Hey guys, I didn't post to 'argue with management'. I just wanted to express my personal opinion that the thread in question was doing ok. Now iffff the moderator had suggested that it was getting a bit personal with regards to the background and lineage of one person cited in the threads, well then I would have had no problem completely agreeing with him. Perhaps Blue Eagle was just being polite and politic in his explanation of his decision. See BE this is what happens when you blouse out a bit lol.
