Windy,

Try in the first instance to email Ann Law at [email protected] . She is the first point of contact. Most guys have emailed her an introductory letter and a 1 page CV. Be aware thought that most probably, you will not receive an acknowledgement for a while.
If you prefer the post option then her address is: Ann Law, L2 Dragonair House, 11 Tung Fai Road, Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau , Hong Kong.
The switch phone number is 852-3193 3193 and ask for Ann Law.

Good Luck

Sorry, almost forgot, minimum requirements would be around 1500 turboprop time, with about 3000 total, but they have about 1000 applications in the system at the moment from guys and gals all over the world with 5000 hours plus.

Does anyone know what the G.O. is with the seocnd interview In rgards to non Airbus guys.
Do you get asked a lot of questions on the Bus?
Do they spend more time grilling you on the type you are flying?
Any ideas for the sim? ie If you cannot get access to the flight deck of a 320, are there any sites etc, you can look up to get and idea of the auotmatics?Flight Directors, etc.
Any help much appreciated.

Gerry and The Rage,

Pay is quite attractive (not as attractive as Cathay though) plus you get a housing allowance. Standard 6 weeks leave/year plus one months bonus every year. Also have very good travel fund to buy tickets/holidays with. You pay 15% to the taxman.

Reference interview, it is referenced to your current type ie if you are on the 737 then they will ask tech questions about it. They also get into Met and Jeppesen stuff, as well as standard Rules of the Air.

Sim is done in an A320 with all automatics OFF so it flies like a real aircraft. I had no previous time in an A320 and I found it straightforward (and I'm no ace from space).

Not wanting to put a damper on things but word on the street is they've just completed interviews for vacancies for the rest of the year. But don't quote me!

Good luck

True. From the horse's mouth, no more vacancies until end of this year. Those that have just been hired have in the region of 10,000 hours.

Buqqer!

Thanks glider,
Just wondering, how many vacancies are there and if Dragonair is currently expanding? And on average how many off days do u get and how long apart are they. Do they pay 13 salaries a year + 1 bonus or is it 12+1? Cheers.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether Dragonair will consider hiring US citizens with an FAA ATPL license?

I am a US citizen with A320 and A330 type ratings, current in the A330 with about 500 hours in type. Total time is around 8000+ hours, most of which is in turbojet aircraft over 60,000 pounds MTOW.

Do any of you Dragonair folks know if this would be competitive? Thanks in advance for any info.
