I wonder if they are going to regret cancelling the second service in the winter.

CX will do what they always do in those cases.

They'll double the frequency and slash the prices until the competition is gone.

I wonder how much longer the HNA group will let itself be bumped around. Can't be too long until they become the bigger bully now.

You guys in CX need to realise the pilots of HKA are your potential allies, not your enemies.
They are the victims of HNA bullying, right now.
Divide and conquer strategies assist both CX and HNA - don't play along with it. Don't be played for mugs. Know your real enemy!

Except CX doesn't have enough pilots to double frequency..

CX 's best Airbus sim instructor (a very knowledgeable ex-Airbus Industry guy) has left to join HKA. Says it all really about the sad state of affairs CX is in
.....and he thinks it's 'nicer' at HKA?

You know it's bad when guys leave CX for HKA because of "the state of affairs" in CX. It's like moving to Dubai because it's too hot where you live...

I have nothing against HX's pilots at all. The few I know are really nice and seem very competent. In fact, I'm quite amazed at the level of experience of guys joining that outfit. Not that it takes a lot to best CX on that front...
Thing is, their trainset doesn't seem in any better hands than the one across the street.

Same here YM. Only the short sighted and ignorant make Corporate Rivalry their personal motivator. When I pax I choose CX anytime I can because I know (for all its faults) that when I fly CX I'm putting my life in the hands of highly professional pilots.
