Well they took playing cards off as well until a very well organised campaign of scriveners made enough paperwork to get them re-instated.
All is not lost on the salt and pepper front. Keep those cards and letters coming in.
Doesn't really fix the big picture but every little bit of straw helps when you are trying to make a point to management that knows the cost of everything but the value of nothing.
