May I ask why the "booksellers kidnapping" thread has been closed?
I realise it doesn't have too much to do with aviation, but freedom of speech, association, religion and movement are certainly topical?

Big Brother is operating in HK. That is certainly a worthy topic and definitely affects aviation here. Communism is a failed experiment. Marx's ideas have nothing to do with present day dictatorial communism a la PRC and the failed USSR. Economic success in China is built on the backs of one billion cheap laborers. As that ends, so will the economic growth. The transition to a service sector economy will be harsh.
