Aussie dollar to hit 4.7 HK dollars, won't see that again for 12yrs, you'd be nuts to hang around if planning to leave in the next 5-8.
The glory days of CX were over years ago but I believe it's really dropped to a basic Asian carrier recently but can continue to deteriorate to the level of contract flying, unfortunately without the time off.

If I could count the number of Aussies who said they were leaving this job when the dollar hit 80 cents, I'd run out of fingers and toes. But greed gets the better of any Cathay pilot. "it's at 80, it'll hit 70 Mate, then I'm out of here:" I should have left at 80, now it's 90. Bugger. I'll go into training to make up the difference. Dicks.
