l thought the good book says to follow MedLink’s advice if there is a difference in opinion between an on-board
medical assistant and MedLink.
Unless of course you use the "phone a friend" subCLAUSE.

Illustrates how little life and work experience these guys have! What is fueling their minds is beyond me. May be their up bringing is to blame. What ever the reason, best of luck then trying to fill that void in your life.

IFALPA ban

What has to be remembered is that all recently promoted and soon to be promoted Captains joined Cathay Pacific during the IFALPA recruitment ban in force between July 2001 and April 2003. This includes RC.
Having operated with a significant number of the individuals who joined during the ban, it has to be said they are certainly marching to the beat of their own drum, read - self centred and certainly suspect in the character department and nowhere near the usual standard of pilot in both attitude and ability recruited either side of this period. Many would not have gained employment with CX had the playing field been level with competition from the normal world wide pool of applicants.
Good luck to those junior officers who will now have to share a flight deck with these types now that they are all migrating to the left seat.....

ummmm WRONG!!!!

you got those dates slightly wrong by about a year, we didn't join during the ban and that includes RC (don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him either)

but hey, why let the facts cloud a good rant

Asianeagle WRONG

AsianTurkey, the Ban dates quoted above are accurate. We have many people in our midst who joined during the ban. The Seniority list reveals all.

WRONG!!!

my join date is within that quoted date band.
the 'ban' wasn't in place yet.
in fact the main reason for the ban (49'ers) only happened in July 2001.
