The GMA, SK, and all the boys in mgt positions above the 3rd floor are all having a laugh at us - everyday. This is truly amazing. I am assuming the reason that something has to be put out is some strange industrial rule related to the fictitious and unneeded recognition and bargaining BS we wasted time on.

Time to clean house, use labor lawyers instead of pilots on the NC, have our chairman walk our offer into Richards office on a whim the night before contract compliance or MSS starts, and then batten down the hatches. Probably a good time to sell out of HK and move back to everyone's homeland for the coming ordeal, as I don't sense much respect being given by the company to our collective selves. Having a plumbing business will probably pay more soon in our home countries, and you will put up with less "stuff".

What is complicated about this offer? Why are we even considering it??? Where is last year's good faith pay review??? 0 % increase is not a pay review. Did we finally get 25 year housing in writing before the company brought us this offer???? Wasn't that promised last time?

Compounded, with inflation, we are being offered on average around an 8% paycut from 2013 to 2016. WTF over!

it is a ridiculous offer - but can someone please confirm what the AOA NC was asking for?

Now - I have heard on the grapevine that we only asked for 5-4-4.
Should that be true then we can't really expect much more - or does anyone really believe that you get exactly what you asked for, or even more than what you asked for?

I used to think the cyincs here were just whinging.

Turns out they were right. In spades.

Sorry I doubted you.

Need to try to find an old beat up American Gas Guzzling pickup truck with a LOUD horn, LOUD exhaust, and huge bed for a huge sign to rally the troops for the upcoming festivities.

In typical HK labor law style, the company will only negotiate with employees of CX.

Pay is a global issue. The company can't dictate who the AOA brings to the table. I'm not sure anybody feels like showing to work after this offer so it's going to be hard to get a pilot to the table.

If pay was a Global Issue then why is there a difference between USAB and HKG raises? Shouldn't it all be the same? And what about that other union? No this is more divide and conquer at it's best.

Take the offer. Be happy for once. I am sick of flying with whiners who are so against the company. Sure you have some points but really is the job that bad? If it is just leave! I bet you will be begging to come back within 6 months. How many need to go before you for you to learn that the grass isn't greener. That's why you haven't left yet and that is why you won't leave now. How many guys are commuting because no bases are available but not even they leave? That's gotta say something.

RAT,

I believe this "pay offer" will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for some not willing to wait any longer for more outright lies from people in YVR based mgt positions. The few people who have left and come back to CX have done so due to furlough; not because they really wanted to work for CX. Most have left, or are about to be on the way out to go take their senior FO positions that pay well, and have 1st world benefits.
