Along the lines of 'Godwin's Law', there is a yet unnamed one that states,

'Discussion of rumours on an airline pilots' bulletin board will eventually deteriorate into an Airbus vs. Boeing argument, even though many of these posters do not own major shareholdings of either company, or get paid by them'.
