Sqwak7700-----I don't know which plate you refer to but looking at the CAD 07R Ocean 2A plate nicely linked above there is nothing about crossing TD -5000'??
Read this:
http://www.hkatc.gov.hk/HK_AIP/aic/AIC40-12.pdf
Which also references a much older bulletin:
http://www.hkatc.gov.hk/HK_AIP/aic/AIC03-10.pdf
In this bulletin you can see the coding which shows up on the FMC, which I believe is what bekolblockage was referring to as well.
Ok fair enough, but we don't have the HK CAD AIP to read, that's the job of Line Ops. Possibly no excuse in the eyes of the law but it's simply not possible to have an AIP for all countries and territories we fly into or over.

It is foolish for our Line Ops to think that a company the fraction of the size of Jeppesen could provide the same quality of service. Which comes back to our motto of "safety first".

With all this confusion, it begs the question exactly what are the fleet office paid to do!
Or is it only via informal fleet forums that they decide to pull their fingers out and write a belated NTC.

It's not the fleet office job, they deal with Pilots and Aircraft tech stuff.
LINE OPS look after ...........wait for it.............LINE OPS.
How long have you worked for CX?

Line Ops are too busy 'nickel and diming' fuel, more important as bonuses are involved.

There are AIC bulletins that describe the new requirements due to implementation of RNP procedures though.
Not to play devil's advocate, but since Jepp is doing the coding, they probably got the word, and since Navtech only does the paper stuff, they'll have to wait until it's officially published? (they can't preempt the official publication)
In which case, there should be a NOTAM somewhere...
