Well boys and Gals,

London base is open for grabs, 9 skippers, 20 fo's.

Is this a turning point? Or are they trying to soothe the pain of NO PAYRISE(SOB's).

Well at least there is hope for bases. Congrats.

Kick dirt in their face and then dangle a carrot, works every time with a CX pilot!

Did anyone bother to read the NTC attached, re. mandatory change to an inferior contract??!! The AOA better have their legal armor on, as I can't find anywhere in the relevant docs that says we are required to change contracts when moving to a base.

It's not mandatory, if you want a base sign, if not don't sign, that's what the company is offering. They are not forcing anyone onto a new contract they are just dangling a rotten carrot.

It's actually quite genius, the senior guys who are desperate to get out will sign, those who can't afford the new financial hit will stay, the most junior F/Os with the least financial or no financial loss will take up the positions and the base will be overmanned with the youngest of crews.

CX will promote to new joiners that they can take a bases within 3yrs of becoming F/O.

1. Got rid of bypass pay and got paid back all of it.
2. Got junior crew on the base and cut housing costs in HK.
3. Enhanced recruitment with "bases".
4. We know how desperate CX pilots are and how much $$$ they will sacrifice, good gen for upcoming pay cut negotiations.

PS I forgot plus freezing the provident fund in HK means the junior guys planning on taking it with the base and doing a runner is stopped.
