It bemuses me, I connect to iConnect via a variety of wifi routers some are consistently fine others very temperamental. One that I use works OK some of the time, on other occasions iConnect is impossible. This is the case even when other, even bandwidth hungry sites, are working fine. There is something odd about iConnect which is beyond my understanding.

Whilst I do not really want to boast that I am a big Facebook user, nor mention that I have many cabin crew friends on FB,(far too much Wit on Fragrant harbor) but SHP did come out the other day. They were commenting how they were struggling to log on due to the other 8000 crew logging on.

could be done
IF they simply went to ipads with the Jepp flight bag, all would be working wonderfully well. it could be done within a week

CSD has just got the ASRs up and running as e-friendly iPad/tablet PDF files.
Maybe someone in IT
could say put an e-friendly flight plan on an iPad, it might even be able to add the waypoint times up by simply entering the airborne time.
Then the file could be emailed at TOD and when connected to wifi go to whoever processes them.
And bingo one step closer to a paperless cockpit!
Oh but you might have to issue the crew with iPads, however you can claim to be the first airline to issue iPads to its crew like everything else that CX does first!
