LongTimeInCX,
Tell them you're a student, or an English Teacher or similar, (and thats just about truthfull as we all still learn in this game), they'll know you won't have wads of cash, so if they don't bale, they either like you for your good looks, personality, appendage or passport.
You've met these ladies then?

Thats not fair guys..

I know lots of HK girls, some named Cinderella,Apple,Gassi,Ivy Leaf,Pong,Snowy,Moonlight etc..

You need to brush up on your EQ and know the correct approach.

Trust me they are just as eager to meet 'nice' pilot. It's the bums they are scared of.

What a stupid link

I'll just quote a posted comment which I completely agree with.

it's kinda funny reading these facts about hk ppl when my dad is an hk person himself. i feel some of these are true, but most or all of these stereotypes about hk ppl r kinda true bout guys/girls in other countries as well.
Soul what's the matter got recently dumped?? Is your fragile ego badly bruised that you need to be vindictive and spiteful by mocking and insulting HK girls on a public forum over and over again. It's getting a bit old frankly . We get it you don't like them, just date a white trash and move on.

Perhaps you left out all these other different comments

These are lists HK boys and girls wrote about each other...

I live in HK and I have to agree with, well, quite a lot. the girls all look alike, same hair (bangs, blunt, straight to eyebrows or similar), and if wearing glasses, the same style (black, thick rimmed and covers 40% of the face). Of course, they think they look attractive. At airports, if you see someone of Chinese descent (most probably age 11-30) wearing a colorful (think lime green plus bright pink) OUTDOOR backpack, a graphic tee and a pair of shorts, plus converse/sneakers, it is 99% a Hong Kong girl. They just HAVE to wear those awful backpacks everywhere, God knows why.

...Their behaviour is such a turn down as well. Girls, act really immature and childish, talk/shout really loud - even when she's 16 you wonder if she's really 11. And yes, they love brand names. Even if the bag is really fugly, as long as there's Marc JACOBS or PRADA or anything on it, it gets snapped up quickly. It looks really tasteless. The boys (not all, there are some good ones, but really rare) try to look cool, while failing. And most actually think they look good.

...I really think that its the environment that shaped them into the way they are.

Just so we are on this topic and we are in HK. Indeed not everyone is like that, its just majority mid 20s to late 30s. I'd rather spend my time on collecting hello kitty accessories. Peace out.

Either on powder or on the phone.

Best classic example side by side. Actions speak for themselves.

Totally agree! These bitches are not worthy of us!

I take great pride in my appearance, I even got one of these super trendy bermudas for my Sunday afternoon stroll over DB Plaza!
Not to mention my neatly trimmed moustache and my pink polo!!

What's next??? Don't tell me this sloppy bunch doesn't cut their nose hair every year as I do !!!

99% of the Honky chicks are worthless - unless you'r a local guy and fancy carrying handbags and other ridiculous sh@t. Pale faces with f@ck all personality... Bro, save yourself the "pain" and look elsewhere.

WHATEVER you do, don't tell anyone you are a pilot.

1. They will think you are cheap.

2. They will think you have many ex-wives/ex-girlfriends/ex-partners/ex-employers/ex-somethings or other that will hunt them down and hurt them.

3. They will make you pay first.

4. They won't even try very hard to pretend they are enjoying themselves because they know there will be no tip involved.

5. They will steal your watch and send pictures of you to the SCMP.

@shep 69

Ah here, what kind of women do you be dating, or is it you can't get one that makes you so bitter?

I've been here 9 months and dated a few HK girls, they are fine, like anywhere in the world some are better than others. The girls that go around with their boyfriend holding their handbag are obviously young and its 'the fashion' for them, along with all the hello kitty stuff.

I also think its good they look after themselves instead of going around with muffin tops and bingo wings, getting hammered drunk, and pissing in the street and what not.

A man could do a lot worse than get a HK girl in my opinion.

@ Yeager

Maybe you should go down to wan chai then and meet some of the 'tanned' girls that you will end up wholely supporting, along with the people from the village they're from.

Most times a person attracts the kind which is a reflection of oneself.

e.g a Venus fly-trap attracts flies..

Yes Shutterbug, 9 months, dated 2-3 hk girls regularly and am still seeing one at the moment, and they were all really lovely, except one(and that particular one was an australian born chinese). They helped me a lot finding my feet here. I would recommend a HK woman to any man. Treat them right and they'll return it and more, in my experience.

Otherwise, there are plenty of other nationalities in Hong Kong that would love a human auto teller machine in their lives

Agreed!

Chest, 9 months and 3 girls? You must not be white/rich enough for the past 2, or they are so "appealing" you had to switch your taste every now and then! Ha ha! 9 months, I assume you are one of those very new to kitty and kongy town - Asiaphile the Explorer! the long and winding road awaits you.

And Paul, happily married for over 20 years, I assume your spouse is in her mid 40s and more? I am glad for you! Sure there are many great friendly middle ladies out there! Or, back in those days, the culture and people are a lot different. But this thread is dedicated as a help hotline to a SWMP who wants to socialise with younger immature kongy galz who spends more time with her iphone and plastic nails than a real person.

Yes, but you have to keep in mind - how the younger generation interact with your generation (Supposedly in their 40s, 50s) is wholely different from how they interact with people around their age. Will be a different story should you be in your 20s now PAing to everyone that you are a SWMP - then wait for the response.

Reed Rothchild as... Chest Rockwel... international man of mystery...

@chest rockwel

Dear chesty, nevermind you me. I've only been in Asia half my life, what do I know. I'm writing all this down furiously. Clackettyclackclack...my fingers can barely keep up.

they were all really lovely...
wait for it...

except one
Cue drumroll Badabing, badaboom.

Hahaha. Oh my sides. Thanks mate. Priceless. You can't make this stuff up. Well, 30% failure rate. Not too bad. Have you considered expanding your sample size to achieve some degree of statistical validity? Oooooh, I think you have....

Go get em shooter!!!

Chest,

Not bitter at all and am a very happy sort.

My post was more directed toward what the ladies downtown think of US and pilots in general -- and to some extent what to expect. YMMV.
