CX LHR freighter to Stanstead.

Rumour.

With the CX 777s soon to be 5 daily, CX has leased its LHR 744 freighter slot and so will change to the cheaper Stanstead and a look at new business to fill it, possibly Africa.

That's actually not the stupidest thing.

The ER's belly cargo capacity somewhat renders the dedicated LHR freighter service moot.
Of course, why on Earth they would prefer to decrease pax capacity and increase cargo capacity to LHR is beyond me, since there's no money in freight...

Oh well, good bye market shares. But who cares about the decreasing overall revenue when we can make a profit/bonus next year, right?

So, who's going to request those 48hrs Lagos layovers?

How would switching from LHR to STN free up freighters to launch new routes?

Also, don't forget we used to fly out of both Stansted and East Midlands with the 744Fs.
