There are a heap of jobs out there..ones that don't ligature your self respect..ones that leave you in the most part to fly as you were trained..but they may not pay the coin..in the end..you have to decide whether its worth flying that Otter in PNG or the 777 for some sheik in the smaller Emirates..either way, if you stay, button the lip.Its your choice to be in HKG..if you can't handle it, ...and forget the AOA..man up or sod off..easy street decision.

In relation to the topic, does anybody know what the recruitment department of Jetstar HK are offering for TC/Capt/FO for this start up venture? A reliable source says 3000 applicants!

So you advice is to "pucker" up and take it with a smile on your face?
You're playing with grown-ups now and you've signed a contract. They put the cash into your account every month, and you take whatever gets them off with a smile. Freedom is never more than 3 months away.
But as a wiser man than me wrote.....freedom's just another word for nothing left to loose.

pathetic views, mainly posted by managers to lower the expectations of most. 30% is not even close over 3 years. Needs to be a minimum 50% for this job to be viable anymore. In addition, massive increases in non salary items will be required such as displacement pay, rigs, proper leave credit credit, crewing of flights ( ie two captains, and two FO's for JFK, ORD, YYZ, LHR), defining of seniority issues in detail, and also the addition of another printer in dispatch for the 2700+ employees who use them. Why work in Hong Kong when you can go home and work for more bling - aviation, or not!
