I'm not surprised

Third world country, third world IT..
The only thing that surprises me, is that you're surprised.

Crew Direct? Who the F*** looks at Crew Direct?
I look there on my G days to find vacant flights, and then call Screw-
The-Crew Control to offer my G day services.

Doesn't everybody do that??????

Yes, I'm new (ish) here.

BBC: as well as looking for G day flights, I also check Crew Direct to make sure my 1.14 and 1.07 multipliers are correct. They have been wrong three times now (not in my favour) , so I don't trust 'em any more.

I too check the payment details. While I havn't found the multipliers in error, the times are regularly wrong. I always contact ODC and get them corrected. As you say the errors are never in my favour!!

I look at it so I can use the leave system to get all 6 weeks of leave I want (3 in the pools), instead of whinging about leave on pprune.
I look at it to request joker g days, and days off instead of whinging about days off on pprune.
I look at it so I can know the names of the tech/cabin crew before a flight to show interest.
I look at it to request either Christmas/NYE off (mostly successful).
I look at it to check my HDP payments and allowances are correct.
I look at it to see who I can catch up with for a beer.
I look at it to check my COS.
I look at it to request jump seats.
I look at it immediately I'm required to (1200 before an A day), so that I don't have Jimmy at CC umm and ahh on the phone, "hey yes, actually we do need you to operate tomorrow".

I say you're a ####head if you don't look at it.

Edit: but yes I do agree its kinda broken at the moment!!!

Don't knock it, it's handy to do a run through prior to the new RT/PC test runs I volunteer for on my G days.

Maybe today's full page ad for IT people might be the 1st step in the right direction... Check out the SCMP's classified section, page 5...quite impressive...
