Priority For Cathay Staff travelling Standby on KA

I'm listed for a standby flight on Dragonair. I note with surprise that the ticket is still priority 26 on KA.

Does that mean that date of joining is the only deciding factor when determining boarding priority between Cathay staff and Dragon staff traveling on a KA flight?

Secondly, where does one go to check in for KA standby travel at the airport?

KA staff are 26A....you will be 26B

CX parents/siblings etc are 27B...KA parents/siblings are 27A

Staff desk is at the end of the KA aisle (don't go to Cathay staff travel)
