HI there,

From past experience apply for everything, I applied to CX graduate scheme once upon atime and the letter i got back said quite clearly no this is only for locals, I thought I had p!@# them off, but, I have since been accepted through the normal way, so just keep updating, it shows you are keen, especially when you have an interview they will see a large and long history of applying.

Also as i mentioned in another post reciently if you miss at an interview it is not the end of the world, send them a nice letter thanking them for the oppurtunity, re-express your keenes and just keep updating.

Good luck....

nb as I have previously mentioned doom and gloom ban soothsayers need not comment, IFALPA support applying and updating

plse excuse spellign, im beeter at flying planes than writing letters

As far as I can see, it says very clearly (big red banner) on the CX website that the Cadet Programme is only open to HK Permanent Residents, so if you are not one I guess you're wasting your (and their) time

Then take everyone else's advice and go for it...

Remember that if you haven't got near perfect eyesight (without any glasses / contacts) then they won't consider you.

I beleive the cadet scheme is for locals, if you say you are Indian then I would n't hold out much hope especially if you only come to Hong Kong for holidays and are not living here. Good Luck anyway, you have to start somewhere.

Post

When considering the amount of time spent in HK, some of the Westerner cadets with HK residency are actually more 'local' than many who are of Chinese origin but had been living elsewhere.
