DE 320 First Officer Dragonair
Hi
Recently submitted my application to dragonair, I was wondering what is the average time it takes them to actually invite you to interview?
Can any of you guys give any advice on:-
Day 1 of interview with Doris Au? What questions? What to expect?
Day 2 simulator/tech exam/social event
And how you find living in Hong Kong?
Pm me if easier
Cheers

Feel a bit a bit bad about this reply due to the response from my last pprune message, but I still think that it is worth to know that even if you have passed the interview then you are not safe in KA.
You still have to pass the FTC (that's a CX conversion course giving you a type-rating) before starting in KA. After this you have to pass the KA training department...So far- none of the DEFO'S has passed the FTC..................FYI.

Silk Purse from sow's ear
So whose fault is that! Pls don't tel me that it's the 'training system' - no airline hires pilots with the intention of failing them at initial training.

Boers, there's not much trg in KA and a lot of checking, having said that, what you say is correct and I didn't find the F/O course that daunting, nor did any others that joined around that time.
Can't help wondering if the new package has reduced the quality of candidate ?
Either way, I don't think a few people failing is a good reason for Gmima to reconsider joining, but the pay and conditions they are offering to live in a crowded, polluted, expensive city is.
