Why I stay at CX

Management is a pain.
Corporate culture is poisend to the core. Wankers only rise to the top.

However, the guys I fly with day to day. Best in the World!

(there are a few exceptions and they know who they are)

Thanks dudes. Despite the F***W****s in charge, I still look forward to going to work.

Keep smiling like the idiot they think you are.

Most days I think about leaving, for the same reasons as you.

The culture is just terrible. Even after 7 years I still feel like they are out to get me. The problem is the money is pretty good & I am just too tired to go through it all again with another company. Not very positive reasons to stay though I admit. I wish I knew all that when I joined.....

I promise myself to be the best I can be at work & not take it out on the mostly great Cockpit Crew I sit next to.

Unity?

Oh Jerk, you've only read the HKAOA version 'cos they wouldn't let AOA Canada put their case to the whole membership. Unity is an all in situation but when PV and DD made unreasonable and anti-unity demands, what did they expect the Canadians to do? Ask DD how many times he 'resigned' as general secretary of AOA Canada because he felt he knew better than their committee and negotiating team and would not accept their consensus view. No unity shown by him.

It's astounding that people who spend the time and effort to stay informed to presumably express their opinions in an intelligent, thought out manner are led buy the nose when it comes to DD. The closed door deal makers don't reside in Canada.

What the **** are you talkin about? I didn't see a single post on the AOA forum in regards to "put their case to the whole membership" until the decision was already made to split from AOA!!!

Well of AOA Canada is done, Bellcrank might as well leave. It's not like Harper is doing us any good.

The HKAOA extended the Canadians access to the forums for a further month to allow them to discuss the issues directly with the HKAOA members.

AOA Canada's President was conspicuous by his absence. Two AOAC GC members posted, but very quickly retreated in the face of some pointed questions.

AOAC had ample opportunity to engage directly with the HKAOA membership, their failure to do so cannot be blamed on the HKAOA leadership. When apportioning blame, Canadians need to look closer to home.

We stay for the cash, and job stability... at least for now. The only way you win in this gig, is buy having CX pay off your properties, and you shift this equity for value elsewhere, you don't need to wait till your 65 to do so either. Life comes down to moments and days. There are jobs outside aviation, if your mortgage free, why stay in HK, that's exactly why the new pilot package is a very low housing allowance, so these pilots are stuck here, no cashing out, no dream to fill, just the 40 year future of ensuring they don't miss anything in their top of climb flow while on that crucial annual line check.
