Thieves in Adelaide

Thieves broke into the houses accommodating CX and Dragon Cadets in Adelaide. They ransacked rooms and stole lap tops, iPads, wallets , passports etc. some of the cadets have lost everything as the thieves spent thousands on the stolen credit cards. Apparantely the rooms were locked and they broke a window to enter the houses. Of course FTA Adelaide are trying to wash their hands although I am sure their insurance can be used to help the cadets pay for new passports, HKID cards etc. expensive stuff to replace

I thought you were leading up to the famous Illie Nastase quote;
“I haven't reported my missing credit card to the police because whoever stole it is spending less than my wife.”

There was always a bad problem of theft in Parafield years ago and nothing has ever really been done about it. It's about time they took this seriously and do something about it once and for all. But then again...it will cost money, so doubt anything will happen.

Where's The Management

I expected some clever post from "The Management" along the lines that the executives of the CPG are the only ones who have the god given right to steal from CPG employees.

Two points:

1) Get used to the feeling of being broke being an iCadet in HK

2) There are thieves in HK as well. At CX we refer to them as Management.

Similar event happened in 2008. No laptops, passports but few hundred $ cash and iphone stolen. There was no sign of forced entry and they knew where to look for the cash. I strongly suspected it was the work of the cleaners. Of course FTA wouldn't do anything......

I would advice to padlock their drawers and avoid keeping large amount of cash

Thoughtful

I feel sorry for the students involved. iCadet or not. It is a rough part of town but no one likes having anything stolen! Chances are any passports or HKIDs are just going to be thrown away its more of a headache replacing those things than anything else.
