and scratch most of the expected JFO and Command upgrades on the 777 and 744 as well. I suspect that there will be a lot of 744 pilots downgrading to the big twin shortly.

I agree mach....not sure why it's a downgrade going form an old aircraft to a modern all singing all dancing aircraft.

but what about the second officer program they have? I thought they are expanding that's why they have announced this program.

Very good!

But size as in SIZE and pax carried due to the UPPER deck etc.

I'm sure some of our old crusty 60+ pilots think its a smaller aircraft.

What was that about size champ????
Ignoring the four lovely big engines on the 744...

The 747-8 is a Code F aircraft and has a length of 76m with a wingspan of 68.4m....

The 747-8 is a Cat D aircraft as far as its approach category is concerned (based on approach speed) but it's a Code F (like the A380) aircraft with respect to airport taxi way limitations.

The 777 is a Code E....because of its a smaller size.
