NH Hoteles at Schiphol is a good spot, not the cheapest, but good ffod and nice rooms. The Ibis is better than it used to be, and the shuttle bus is plentiful and free... not much cheaper than that unless you want to B&B it...

Do the Yotel inside the terminal, they'll give you a crew discount rate too. Or Citizen M outside the airport. Both are submarine-style Japanese mini rooms, and have everything you need. Yotel has free wifi, great bed, super clean, great shower, quiet, and does the job for 40 euros or so for 12 hours.
