No more freighter flying!

However you will still have to PX on them!

Widebody freighters could be piloted remotely within 15 years

The technology will certainly be available but the jury is still out on the ATC system, Aviation Governing bodies and pilot unions and airline management influences and the public acceptance. Interesting times and the railroad is a good example of how some subways are unmanned and others have decreased to only 1 to 2 employees where there were many in the past.

This is a long way off. I think we will see a single pilot at cruise and dual pilots on takeoff & landing long before this... My understanding is that Lufthansa has approached Boeing about this concept already.

Of course, accidents like the AF A330 over the Atlantic will cause regulators to think long and hard about this, especially in light of lower experience levels being introduced to the industry.
