Where to Live?

Hello,

I've just moved to Hong Kong for a position.

I'd like to live around other flight crews, and I hear Discovery Bay is popular with pilots.

I'd also like to learn of other options. How about Tung Chung? Other places??

Thanks for your input!

Bill

Disco Bay : lots of pilots, expats, kids, dogs, no cars only golf carts that cost more than ferraris, rent from 15k for a shoebox to 115k for a large shoebox.

Tung Chung : hi density accom ( mostly 50 story buildings ) lots of pilots and local CC, mostly cops the worst pollution, lovely view of the airport, rent from 15k up.

Central: rent nearly double depending on how close u want to be to the action, lots of pilots, a few million locals, lots of bars/restaurants.

It all boils down to what you are after, personally I would heartily recommend a Place with clean air, reasonable rents, not overcrowded and great restaurants and pubs, it's called Melbourne, the commute might kill you though
