Radio control shops in Shenzhen

Does anyone know how to find all the radio control shops in Shenzhen?.

I was talking to a local gentleman who was car was full of foamy airplanes. He said he bought most of his stuff on the 3rd and 5th floors of one of the shopping venues near a train station in Shenzhen
Due to communication problems I could not understand his directions but I believe there are 2 floors of small model shops at reasonable prices.

Any help finding this would be appreciated.

Cheers

Radio control shops in Shenzhen

Hi
There are several shops at LoWu at the MTR station but there are more if you take the Subway train to Hua Qiang Lu Exit "A" then walk ahead to the street corner of Shen Zhen Hua Qiang North Road and turn left, then walk another 100 metres and cross the road you should see the Kanle Building Shenzhen International Electronic City Jia Shen Digi Tai Electric Shop.
Go in and take the escalator to the 1st floor and turn right and you will find a rc hobby shop from there go up another floor and turn left and take the walk way to the next building and you will find several shops selling Lipos RC planes etc . In the building next to this further along the road there are more rc hobby shops on the ground floor but to go to Shenzhen you need a visa.
Whereas Hobbyking in Fotan, Hong Kong has has more stock than any of these shops in Shenzhen and buys direct from the factories in large volumes and is cheaper than the shops in Shenzhen and provided you have an address outside of Hong Kong will let you order through the internet and pick up from their office in Fotan.

gentlemen thank you both.
Dilli, I have relatives staying here at the moment but will get in touch after they have gone. I am quite interested in some scaleish cheap foamy warbirds. I have a jr dsm 2 transmitter, so I was interested to know if parkzone models are available at reasonable price.
Our flying area in discovery bay is pretty unfriendly, so everything gets bashed up. EDFs have to be hand launched.

Petern, I cannot access any Hobbyking website from my Hong Kong ISP, or through my Hong Kong mobile browser. I will try next week from my hotels in China. Any idea why they do that?
I do have a multiple entry visa for China, and a UK credit card.
Thanks again

D b'er, I don't believe you will be able to access the hobbyking website from China either. I find the best way to do it is go to the hobbyking website when you are in any country other than Hk or China then make sure you don't close down the browser or restart your iPad/iPhone. When you get back to Hk you will be able to order off the website until you next close your web browser or restart your iPhone. Works for me!

Why should this web site be blocked in China? It's a shop in China...

Also, I haven't seen any web sites in HK that are blocked. Facebook, YouTube and all the rest work in the Special Administrative Region, that's why it's special.

I'm just sayin'. If I'm wrong, enlighten me please.

I've no idea why Frank, I just know that if you try the Hobbyking website in China or Hk you will get a 404 error message and if you try from any other country it works, believe me I've tried many times.

so it wont work from china either. thats a pity as i have one night in Ningbo and 2 nights in Shanghai next week. Unfortunately no night stops other than China in November. Good tip about not restarting the browser. May try it next time I overnight in Taiwan.
Also, I was thinkig of paying for one of those UK virtual IP addresses so I can use BBC Iplayer. Maybe that will work?
Is hobbyking really that much better priced?

Go on line and buy a software program that will hide your ISP (just google "Strong VPN") and then, for $47 HK dollars each month, you can then easily access the Hobby King website, or Netflix, or any other website you can access outside Hong Kong while living inside Hong Kong.

Allegedly there is some gentlemans agreement not so to sell to china / HK as the prices are very low and would cause many problems to the shops here. .Thats what I heard.. Unsure if it is true. Yes.. Flying up the back of DB is rough.. but fun. Go and visit www.windrider.com.hk . The guys name is Ming and he sells great foamies. His warehouse is 5 mins walk from Radar hobbies (NTK MTR Station). His 60" bee wings are bulletproof and go like a stabbed rat with a decent motor on them. He also has silly big 737's and A380 amongst other things. Choose what you want and then call him if if you want to pick up from him.

Its a nice sunny day.. I might head up the hill now for a fly.
