FYI, Cathay stopped hiring directly on a base, only option is HKG base as SFO.

Roster on the freighter (Manchester) is roughly 12 days off, 2-3 trips to HKG via DEL,MUM or DXB plus some regionals out of HKG. LHR freighter same, Pax LHR 3x return HKG , each trip 3,5 days.

Pax guys on a base average 16-18 days off on a good month, and around 14 days if reserve thrown in. Most European bases have a mix of pax and freighter flying. Majority of Manchester rosters will end up having 14-15 days free of duty each month, sometimes more.

711 is right, only option at the moment is Second Officer based in HKG - perhaps will change due to unfilled slots if the rumours are to be believed.

I very much doubt that those slots would be on any base though. If they start to hire FOs again I think it will be into HKG on local terms, but with SOs doing 4+ years before upgrade it may be a while.

Current freighter rosters for Captains out of Manchester are averaging about 10 - 12 days off a month. Usually at least one duty cycle of 10-12 days each month plus another of varying length.

Lots of positioning, relief sectors and of course inefficient, off body clock rostering. Hope you like curry
