Jizz is probably one of the 400 plus Airbus captains with his name down to come to the 777 with no luck so far...he sounds very frustrated! Oh, and Jizz, the 380 wasn't exactly on schedule, and neither is the 350.
PS. I wouldn't want to sleep in the bunks after he has been there!!!

Fuel burn is 2.7% above promised. The GE PIP will bring it down to 1.1% above promised but only in 3rd quarter 2012.
Why is it taking so long to re-program the VNAV profile to match the actual aircraft profile?

HKJunkie...
I didn't say Boeing was better than Airbus, I merely pointed out that Airbus doesn't hold the sweepstakes on being on time with its products, nor do they always meet expectations. Although, to be fair, it was a massive undertaking, the 380 was several years late and I am sure the 350 will have issues as well.
Personally I do prefer Boeing as I don't like the Airbus philosophy and also I feel that Boeing build a sturdier product.....not many 20 year old 320s flying around Congo....but they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Atlas did delay for a better product. I note that Flight Global reports that CX will still take their "early production models". Maybe they bartered a discount?
Wraith. True A and B have their strengths but it is a different avaition World now and twenty plus year old airplanes don't always offer the economics demanded by airlines.

HKJunkie,
My point wasn't about the economics of twenty year old aircraft..... My point was that in areas such as Congo where aircraft economics are judged differently to here, Boeings are built well enough to fly for that long in that environment, and Airbus aren't.
