Any reason why we need to apply for Joker days 3 months in advance???
Sorry for the rant!! Almost every single time I need to apply for Joker days for special event, it is already past the bloody deadline!!!
Why do they need 3 months notice for a few G days request? Do they really look this far ahead? You have got to be joking. As far as I can see, they can barely come up with next month's roster, let alone 3 months! They don't really start contructing Nov roster until late Oct, so why do they need to receive my Joker days request for Nov before early Aug???
Is that just another hurdle designed purely for reducing the numbers of joker request???

It's not that hard to understand, but you need to get a bit of paper and a pencil.
Let's say you want the 10th to 14th of Dec off.
The Dec roster comes out on the 15th of Nov, but starts to be built on about the middle of Oct.
The plan is to have the Nov roster tie in smoothly to the Dec roster (so that, for example, the 5th of Dec to the 9th are work days).
The Nov roster begins being built during the middle of Sep, which ends up being 3 months in advance.
Makes more sense if you draw it out...
