Internet Embarrasment
It seems that, in light of recent events, our CEO is of the opinion that any personal images etc that are private but get placed in the public domain, even without the owner's consent, which cause embarrasment to the company, are considered a sacking/resigning offence.
Well, what about images or videos that are placed on the internet willfully by the owner? What if they cause embarrassment? Surely the same standard must be applied?
That said, do yourselves a favour, before the might of CX has this shocker withdrawn from the web.
Go to YouTube, and do a search for "Joy Slosar". She is a lady that has placed her video blog about her life & times in Thailand & Hong Kong on YouTube. I haven't counted how many videos there are, but there are quite a few.
Some of them are rather mundane, and monotonous, but one of my highlights was when she talks about a security guard at her boyfriend's apartment complex in Thailand refusing her entry because he thought she was a bar girl. Makes you wonder........
How's that policy go Jon??

Wow, that video is painful to watch. It is like watching Arnold Schwarzenegger reciting Shakespeare.
I am always amazed by people that lack the editing process which filters thoughts before they reach the mouth.

"I am more educated." I think the lady means "More experienced."
If I could speak any foreign language (esp an Oriental one) as well as she speaks English I'd be pretty pleased with myself.
She's absolutely right about not arguing with foreign immigration officers. Your own in the West - well argue with them any time. Cloggie friend gave AMS immigration a mouthful when ethnically non-Clog tried to question her right to enter Holland.
Recollect one of our BA FEs took his Japanese wife on a BKK trip. They were caught out in a rainstorm and, when they returned to the 'Dusty Fanny' looking a bit bedraggled, the doorman was about to refuse entry to his wife. Much loss of face! Although to whom, I am uncertain.

So you all think it's just fancy stories eh ? A family friend, a Thai lady, started off working for a prestigious Asian airline and became the face of their hugely successful Asia marketing campaign adverts before retiring to marry a wealthy banker in Europe. Fast forward 20+ years and her now grown-up sons are working in top jobs after graduating from Uni. She's recently completed building a huge mansion in Bangkok, her home town.
