Isn't it amazing that with all the out of work Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Road Gangs, and the THOUSANDS of graduates each year filling the market, why is it that they can name their price? Why is it that we have been going backwards and other professions are going up up up.... Surely their supply is much greater than their demand.

Also, SMOC has a point. At the moment we are, generally, a seniority-based profession - something that is jealously guarded. Perhaps that may become a thing of the past as the industry changes into one where pilots "sell" themselves to the highest bidder and develop into a somewhat more itinerant workforce than has traditionally been the case.

Our "seniority based system" in CX became a thing of the past when we let them D-E hire those cnuts from ASL and did nothing about it.
