Question HNA order 38 Boeings for HKA.....as well as biz jets....

This should be interesting...

AA11: HNA orders 38 Boeing aircraft

"Hainan Airlines, he adds, could eventually take some of the 787s that the Group has ordered if there is demand for the aircraft type.

"This order is intended for Hong Kong and the aircraft will be based here, but they could be operated by Hainan if we can work that out," he says."

Didn't see that one coming....

Just wondering

In any event it will be several years before the deliveries begin. My question is, what will happen to HKA and HKE in the next 5 years before they aircraft arrive on the property?

Flying Phoenix,

in answer to your question:

what will happen to HKA and HKE in the next 5 years before they aircraft arrive on the property?
The answer is here:

Welcome to HONG KONG AIRLINES

And it says quite clearly RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT.........which I guess translates into EXPAND, EXPAND, EXPAND

(subject to terms and conditions, global weather patterns, the colour of ones underpants, product may occassionally cause stains, test on a discreet patch first, not covering acts of God, war, pestilence, civil unrest, during black rainstorm or T8 conditions, the perfromance of this airline can go up as well as down!).

Regards,
