96% YES - So what's the problem?

What happened to the frustrated, strong, united, ready-for-action 96% who voted for a substantial increase now or else CC as per GC direction?

Zero does not mean substantial.

Caching up 1% or so per year for the last 10 years of sub-zero losses in buying power does not mean substantial.

Less than zero for the next XX months in real buying power does not mean substantial.

Zero in XX+1 months and the many years of zero that will follow does not mean substantial.

96% CC together is substantial! CC is also the only option that works, and it is very easy to do. Just the threat of CC got not just a meeting but also an offer and a revised offer, in just 5 days. Actual CC is a lot more powerful than that. We already blew the timing by getting sucked in once. Let's not get sucked in again.

The list of reasons why it would be crazy to accept this is very long. Believing in future improvements is crazy. Believing there will be a better and stronger fight in the future, while hoping for even better timing, regarding this and other issues, well that is just crazy. Believing anything substantial will happen without CC is crazy. Believing we deserve less than substantial is crazy. Believing in the 80% that never read the AOA forums (or even understand inflation, COS08, RA65, BPP, AHK, ACC, etc.) is crazy. Backing down at the wrong time for the wrong reasons is really crazy.

The GC already has 96% support for CC anytime. So what's the problem?

We should all be doing CC anyway. Why wait to be told?

The "problem" is that you're posting it on here..take it to the appropriate place, if you have the right of access that is...

Jacobus,

With 25% of pilots too stupid to be part of the aoa and unable to read those forums, remaining poorly informed about that side of the story, and even more (XX%) of members reading this forum more often than the aoa forums, the odds of getting my message out this way was fine with me.
