How does proffering work

Can't find much info on Crew Direct about proffering (but I'm sure it's there!)

If you proffer a trip, you lose money, right? Where does that money come from (HDP/salary) and how much is it? I seem to recall it's a $/hr thing?

Any info helpful, or point me to the info on CD (there's plenty about mutual exchanges, but not proffering).

cheers!

Yes you lose money and the person who takes it makes money. It is automatic. For an SO it is HK$300 per hour, FO think it is 600 and CN 1000 (FO and CN may be wrong as am not either). Comes from salary but you of course lose the HDP you would have made on the trip also.
