Question The new fatigue reporting system and Cathay Pacific

I was thinking in depth about this recently and was wondering what real effect all this fighting with the company has on fatigue? Does corporate safety really care? Does the CAD? Does the medical department?

There has to be some real value placed on this as it does have an effect! The pressures put on flight crew, including the F/A's, all the lawsuits, all the pay issues etc. Everyone I talk to is upset. Threats of industrial action by both us and the F/A's beacuse we have reached our limit with a company that seriously does not treat it's employees very well at all.

The press reports may seem silly but do people really understand what is going on at this company? The imperialist colonial mentality does not work in the modern world nor at an airine that relies on people, professional people that have a task that is heavily safety oriented. The handling of our recent incidents highlight that.

I think the FRMS has a serious fault in it as it is not really accurate.
