Hamsters show how jetlag causes long-term changes in brain

Just can't wait to work until 65. Explains a lot of what I see in the CX check and training system i.e. some of these guys can never remember making an error themselves.

You forget that the majority of C&T do very little long haul.

Have YOU been doing too much, perhaps? Working "G" days, maybe?

Have they allowed for the intelligence gap between hamsters (who can be reasonably smart) and your average pilot?

Stress, lack of sleep and radiation slowly destroy your immune system, making you more at risk of contracting diseases and cancer. Thankfully, jet lag also destroys your brain so you can't worry about it...

Oh well, add it to the list. It's not like our employer will ever recognize the health hazards of our profession and reward us accordingly anyway...
