Qantas load check?

Trying to go from Syd to LAX using a ZED fare on the 14 or 15 or 16. Can anyone give me a load check for any of these days?

Thanks in advance!

Cool

The 15th or 16th would work well at this stage, 14th not much hope.
QF73 to SFO on the 15th good also.

Thanks! Hoping the 380 thing won't be a problem.

Be warned: there is a staff travel embargo on a number of routes at the moment due to the A380 problem. That includes all Aus-USA sectors and currently is until/including 12 Nov 2010. Being reviewed on a daily basis. If it is not extended I would imagine staff travel loads right after 12 Nov could be very high. And there's probably a fair chance the embargo will roll.

I'd be looking at alternative carriers.

14th now no chance, 15th still good including SFO and 16th looking doubtful however QF141 to Auckland then QF25 look good.
Embargo now up to and including 13th Nov.

Will give you an update in a day or two.

Embargo on all flights Aus-USA (including via NZ) now extended to the 14th inclusive. Even if lifted from 15th onwards I wouldn't be optimistic about subload seats being available for a while. And I wouldn't be surprised to see the embargo behave like a WSSS TEMPO.... just continue to roll !

Embargo??

I've never understood the concept of a staff travel embargo. It's a subload ticket - if there's a seat, you travel, if not, you don't. An embargo means potentially a flight leaves with an empty seat(s).

Doesn't make sense to me.

Well that all sucks. I work for a Delta/United regional so I can travel on either of them too. Just Delta is over sold and United REALLY sucks in the back, so I would have rather ridden on QF in the back rather than United.

Mate embargo still up to and including 14th.
15th QF107 looks not even half full and QF73 (SFO) even better however no chance with QF11.
16th QF107 looks ok QF11 no chance however QF141/25 via Auckland looks pretty good.
Good luck!

Thanks for the updates. Might still try to get in business on QF as it goes before United anyway. (assuming the embargo gets lifted)

NZ not via Sydney no but you were talking about going via AKL...which they obviously do. Good luck mate, oh the joys of staff travel (and they call it a benefit).

FYI for anyone else trying to travel during the embargo. I talked to Qantas today. They said it will extend until the 30th. However if you are with another airline and trying to get back to your home country, the embargo doesn't apply.

Staff Travel embargo

Can anyone please tell me whether the Staff travel embargo of Qantas is still extended? Especially on the LAX-AKL stretch.

Thanks in advance.
