FedEx lighting strike

Just watch on atv news - lighting strike caused navigation system (?) failure and emergency landing at 2155. Carried DG onboard.

Cargo plane makes emergency landing

A cargo plane has made an emergency landing at the airport in Chek Lap Kok, after being hit by lighting. Reports say the aircraft had been heading for Paris. The plane, along with its crew of four, landed safely.

What if it was an MD-11? No aircraft is immune to lightning strikes.
