Question Aussie IFR renewal in HK

Hi,

Have a strange problem. Am in the process of converting a Australian licence to an overseas licence. But need a current Instrument rating. Unfortunately mine has expired in February.

I have been reading the Aussie CAAP 5.14-1(0) which is regarding renewal IFR overseas.

Has anyone tried this?

Or know of any A320 Examiners in HK who are qualified in Canada, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China), New Zealand, the United States of America, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Seems that Aussie doesn't recognise other countries!

Any help would be much appreciated. The headache of heading back to Australia to do a renewal seem to much!

Thanks
