Australian On-Shoring
Just got the latest update from the AOA re the on-shoring process. Just reading between the lines here, but I get the feeling something is happening... for 2 reasons
On the site www.aoaaustralia.org they have posted a message titled URGENT PLEASE READ, and its addressed to all OABL crew.
Secondly, the info they have posted there is accessible by everyone... even non-members!!
It all certainly makes for interesting reading. Seems as though they might have learned from the other on-shoring debacles. Might be worth keeping an eye on that site... especially if you are a non-member!!

Chickens and the Abacus
I get the feeling that our Australian cousins are getting carried way - remember that AMS was 6 weeks from on-shore when CX pulled the plug because of 'costs that the company was not willing to bear'. Let's hope that our esteemed management research on the implications of on-shoring in Aus is far, far better than it was with Canada where they found that the aircrew actually have representative rights, and in EUR, where they really haven't got a clue at all. CX are now are in panic mode. No one should sleep easy - beware the irrational.
Oh, well - back to the coffee shop
