Trouble at Air Hong Kong

Any word on the First Officer who was suspended for calling in sick?
Haven't seen him around the crew lounge lately. Heard they were trying to sack him to cover up some mismanagement.
Did the poor bugger get sacked or saved?

This thread is not about 49'ers - there have been no mass sackings over in AHK.

If the crew member is sick, just make sure the call is done with plenty of time within limits and with a good sick note from the doctor, then any questions are already answered.
Funny you say that. From what I hear, the guy called in sick 26 hours before report time. Provided a very detailed sick note (which was verified by the company) yet, was still hung out to dry! As for the Facebook "evidence", (which was NOT a picture) funny how that all came up AFTER the poor buggar decided to appeal the case! I smell something funny, don't you?

what's the story? can anyone keep me in the loop
AV. Crew
Hear the poor young asian bugger was made to fly while on the appeal hearing process and Captain filed a safety report to CX safety department. Wonder the same happens in CX and if the union would act or step in ??
The matter has also filtered or may have been reported to Hong Kong Civil Aviation.
Seem to be high handed management and badly managed. Wish the young lad good luck!!
