Depends on your budget and what you like to drink.

If you are clever, you can drink the great wines of the world at a discount to what you would pay for them in their home countries and wine regions. Be they French, Italian or the New World such as Australia or NZ. This is due taxation and the volatile exchange rates of late.

Watsons have a good selection at the mid range point and there are plenty of merchants offering the world's best wines. Try Altaya or Ponti

If you know what you want and need to find the best price then wine-searcher is the place to go.

Happy drinking!

Mywineman is good, especially if you live in central.
Watsons have good specials on selected NZ and Oz wines.
SCMP have some really good deals at times.
Bottoms up.....hic

Thanks McHover. I wasn't aware of that outfit. You been buying en primeur Burgundy & Bordeaux of late? I felt vintage and price expectations unrealistic. And have been backfilling good vintages from Berry Brothers; aided by the weakened £.

Be careful with Watsons. On occasion good buying. I'm on their corporate list due industry contacts and still rarely buy. I can still halve their prices buying in-bond from London from Berry Brothers when sales are on.

Jebsen has a Penfolds sale on- St Henri 270HKD a bottle, 128 130HKD a bottle.... pretty good deal

And mywineman deserves a plug. A grey marketeer who has brought competition to the Hong Kong market and broken up the distribution cartel. Try him. He deserves our support!
