Canadian 'Super A'
I am curious as to the recently revealed info that there is a group of pilots in Canada that have been given a 'sweetened' COS 08 package. Does anyone have any info pertaining to this?

Nicks deal on the side
A half dozen or so Canadians have COS08 PLUS. The basic deal is if they have no 4.5 year limit on A scale. If they leave at 55 the company will compensate the the shortfall between B and A scale. So assuming if one is say 45 years old now he gets A scale for another 10 years whilst this is not the case for most.
The first COS 08 Canadian turns 55 shortly and I believe the legal eagles are ready to pounce as it is reputed to be against the law in Canada to cut your pay when you turn 55.

Apparently the deal is the difference is put into trust and if you leave at 55 as per the old agreement, you get the trust in a lump sum. If you stay past 55 the trust goes back to CX and you keep getting the COS08 scale.
