Hi Guys,

The selection process is not too different from that of Cathay. Depending on how it is organised, either you will do an initial interview and then be invited back for phase two, or you will do it all in one. Interview involves a tech exam, simulator check, licence assessment, english assessment, medical check and management interviews. The AHK team were very receptive, and certainly made you feel welcome during the assessment process. You will get details on the sim in the interview package, which is more than enough to prepare.

To prepare, I buried myself in ace the technical pilot interview, and a couple of other tech books + an HR interview prep book.... waiting to hear the result at the moment.

Good Luck!!!

... Sandy

Consider this, 8Kusd living someplace other than HK will last alot longer than
8kusd living in HK, ask what other carriers(in HK) pay their F/O's, ...in the region of double that (housing plus basic).

if AHK employ you they pay for everything regarding licence conversion, aircraft training etc. It's not some mickey mouse outfit - well not when it comes to that area anyway

A friend of mine has been there for a little over one year and he lives in BKK. He loves it and the pay is around 8k like mentioned above. His schedule is 1 week on, 1 week off.

True, KA put just over double that in my bank account each month, but it's academic since by the time we start hiring again, I think they will be using transporters ( like in Star Trek ) to get around....thanks Cathay

OH and be sure you want to stay with them for a while, a whopper of an ( enforcable ) bond

I'll take a shot.

KA pays 16Kusd

KA will not be hiring any time soon due CX cadets.

AHK has a long bond period.

@ AHK, isn't the bond 3 years? If so, that is pretty standard.

KA is Dragonair

KE is Korean Airlines.

and my pay is almost 2 and a half times the Air HK pay.

8K is NOT a lot of money here.

& no bond...
